Participates in sharing purchasing strategies, supporting teamwork, joint learning and development initiatives, and performs technical duties related to the category management for MRO, IT, HR, Facilities/Maintenance, Service, CapEx, and other indirect spend by established policies and guidelines. Full Time Permanent Role Key Responsibilities
· Establish sourcing strategy for the assigned portfolio by managing through detailed analysis of historical & current spend data, combined with sourcing and research of new suppliers.
· Support the bid process by consulting with stakeholders to determine the expectations; preparing bid documents; performing bid analysis, teaming up on the negotiation and preparing the recommendations regarding vendor contracts
· Support negotiation initiatives led by Sourcing Managers, by providing information such as SOW, market intelligence, vendors, risks & ops, cost models and any relevant information to support Sourcing Strategy.
· Support identifying and execute negotiation cost savings initiatives
· Support identifying and executing value analysis and vendor transfer savings opportunities as a cross-functional effort to deliver cost reduction targets and optimize other performance measures such as on-time delivery & lead time on purchased goods and services, without jeopardizing quality, flexibility and supply continuity.
· Participate as an active cross-functional team member, along with Engineering, IT, HR, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Quality, R&D, Sales and Marketing and other key functional areas of the business for effective project execution including process optimization.
· Develop supplier relationships to optimize supplier quality and performance, including continuous improvement, innovation, reduction in total cost of ownership to add value. Resolve supplier quality and supplier non-conformance concerns.
· Perform administrative duties such as tracking cost savings initiatives and providing monthly status reports vs. objective targets, and reviewing and ensuring correctness data.
· Act as key contact for inquiries pertaining to area of ownership
Qualifications:
· Completion of college diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business or Accounting
· 3-5 years of experience in related procurement function
· Knowledge of Office 365 and ERP systems
· Strong Microsoft skills, advanced in Excel
· Understanding of the Purchasing process within a Manufacturing environment
· Experience with commodities purchasing, risk management and hedging
· High level of initiative, and strong interpersonal skills.
· Strong negotiation and presentation skills
· Strong analytical skills
