Banquet Hall Manager

Job Description

We are looking for a for a Banquet Hall Manager for our well established client!

 

This role will oversee the day-to-day operations of the event venue in Windsor, Ontario. This role involves managing events, coordinating with clients, supervising staff, and ensuring top-tier customer service. Key Responsibilities:

Event Management & Coordination:

  • Oversee and execute weddings, corporate functions, banquets, and private events.
  • Work closely with clients to plan and customize events, ensuring all details are met.
  • Coordinate with catering teams, decorators, and AV technicians to ensure flawless event execution.

 Team Leadership & Staff Supervision:

  • Hire, train, and manage banquet staff, including servers, bartenders, and setup crews.
  • Create schedules and assign responsibilities to ensure smooth event operations.
  • Provide on-the-job coaching to maintain high service standards.

Client Relations & Sales Support:

  • Conduct venue tours, answer inquiries, and book events.
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing team to promote the banquet hall and secure new bookings.
  • Handle client concerns and ensure exceptional guest experiences.

Operations & Compliance:

  • Oversee venue setup, cleanliness, and maintenance.
  • Ensure food and beverage service adheres to health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain inventory of banquet supplies, including linens, glassware, and event materials.
  • Monitor budgets and expenses to maximize revenue and control costs.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Skills required:

  • Experience: 3+ years in hospitality, banquet/event management, or a similar role.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and banquet operations.
  • Experience with event management software is a plus.
