About the Role

The Body Shop Manager will be responsible for the profitable operation of the Body Shop. He will carry out this responsibility by operating his shop at maximum production while controlling costs and setting and obtaining profit objectives. As an insurance-preferred Body Shop, this Management role is responsible for ensuring compliance with processes and procedures, motivating and coaching team members for top performance, improving efficiencies, and maintaining an excellent customer experience. We have a state-of-the-art franchised facility, qualified production staff and an excellent reputation in our community. Job Requirements

Requirements

  • Work on a harmonious basis with all insurance adjusters and appraisers
  • Supervise the quality of the work performed
  • Ensure that the standards of the various insurers are respected and met
  • Ensure that the department's productivity is maintained while controlling costs
  • Carry out estimates when necessary
  • Maintain our high level of customer satisfaction and resolve problems as needed
  • Budget all controllable expense factors
  • Obtain approval for all adjustments on body and paint estimates
  • Maintain an adequate system for recording all work done in the shop
  • Approve all requisitions for materials and supplies
  • Handle any customer complaints and adjustment matters
  • Establish profit goals and means of achieving such goals
  • Hire, train and motivate the necessary manpower
  • Work well with other department managers in the organization

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Body Shop Management experience required
  • Estimating experience using Mitchell and Audatex
  • I-Car Training Certificate
  • Strong computer skills
  • Skilled at providing an exceptional customer experience
  • Highly effective communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills in order to work with customers, colleagues and numerous outside suppliers and stakeholders
  • Detail oriented with excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Valid Ontario G Driver’s License
  • Ability to handle high pressure time sensitive solutions
  • Demonstrates commitment to personal and professional growth
