Operations Controller is a strategic business partner responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the manufacturing operations, across multiple sites. This includes financial reporting, cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and providing data-driven insights to support decision-making. The Plant Controller ensures compliance with corporate financial policies, internal controls, and external regulations while driving continuous improvement in financial processes and plant performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Financial Reporting & Analysis:
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Analyze plant performance and provide actionable insights to leadership.
• Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Cost Management:
• Manage and oversee standard costing processes, inventory valuation, and cost variance analysis.
• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure proper costing of products and materials.
• Budgeting & Forecasting:
• Lead the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance against budgets.
• Provide recommendations to meet or exceed financial objectives.
• Internal Controls & Compliance:
• Ensure adherence to corporate financial policies and procedures.
• Maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
• Oversee audits and coordinate with external auditors as required.
• Business Partnering:
• Collaborate with plant leadership to drive financial performance and strategic initiatives.
• Provide financial guidance for operational decisions, including capital investments and cost optimization.
• Support the development of business cases for new projects and initiatives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA/CMA preferred
• Minimum 7+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing accounting or plant controllership.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, GAAP, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably EPICOR and advanced Excel skills.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
