Responsibilities:
· Accountable for and perform quality inspections and approval of all toolage and stampings
· Maintain control of documents i.e. production drawings, tooling standards etc.
· Assist with decision making regarding part development and tool making
· Assist with drawing interpretation GD&T
· Program and operate CMM, 3D Scanner or equivalent
· Perform job functions as identified and required in the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
· Responsible for the supervision of the Quality Assurance department
· Adherence to Employee and Health and Safety policies and procedures as outlined by the company
· Maintain a positive, productive and healthy work environment
· Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· Technical/Engineering/Quality Assurance College Education required
· Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a supervisory or lead hand role
· Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with GD&T, CMM and 3D Scanner or equivalent
· Previous experience working in the automotive industry is required
· Tooling or Stamping experience is required
· Experience with CMM or White Light Scanner programming/operation
· ISO 9001 auditor training or experience is considered an asset
· Demonstrated understanding of Geometric Dimension & Tolerancing (GD&T)
· Experience using a CAD system (NX preferred)
· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
· Excellent attention to detail
· Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain company database structure
· Ability to multi-task, change priorities quickly and work under the pressure of tight deadlines
· Team player with a positive attitude and above average communication skills, both written and oral
Working Conditions:
· Shift Work – generally performs duties per a specific shift schedule, however may be required to change shifts
when necessary
· Physical Demands:
o Requirement for prolonged periods of standing and sitting depending on work priorities
o Must be able to physically manipulate overhead scan head on hydraulically assisted swing arm
o Repeated bending and lifting as required for casting and fixture manipulation with overhead crane/forklift
o Must use aerosol weld developer (inhalation risk) on a daily basis
o Must use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required including, but not limited to: dusk mask, safety
glasses, safety boots, hearing protection
· Mental Demands:
o Timeline sensitive environment that can require extra hours to complete work
o Tasks can be repetitive as multiple part studies are required on a regular basis
o Tasks will be changed unexpectedly based on priorities, adaptability is required
