Pay and/or Salary: From $19.00 pr/hr

Responsibilities:

The Assistant Press Operator is responsible for preparing dies for production runs and assisting the press operators in running the press to produce good-quality parts.

· Assist the press operator with machinery setup and ensure all required materials are readily available

· Prepare the dies in die ovens for production runs based on the press schedule

· Use the overhead lift assist to move the dies through the workstation

· Monitor the production equipment and report any machine issues to the supervisor and maintenance team promptly

· Meet daily targets for schedule adherence, activation, etc.

· Follow work instructions to ensure the production of good-quality parts

· Assist in other areas on the line, such as packing, as needed

· Maintain a safe and clean workspace at all times

· Responsible for following the Occupational Health and Safety Act and all Can Art Company Policies

 

Job Requirements

Qualification Required

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Minimum 2 years' experience in a machine operator capacity

· Previous experience in heavy manufacturing is an asset

Skills Required

· Must be able to read and write in English

· Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities

· Knowledge of health and safety best practices in a manufacturing environment

· Previous experience in extrusion or a similar manufacturing environment is an asset
