We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager!

Scope of the position:

This is a high-impact growth role for a commercially driven professional who understands powertrain systems, speaks the language of engineering, and already has trusted relationships with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers. You will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities within powertrain components, working closely with engineering, program management, and operations teams to convert opportunities into long-term production programs.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in technically complex environments, enjoys strategic selling, and wants to influence product direction and customer partnerships- not just chase RFQs.

· Opportunities for advancement

· Competitive compensation package

Key Responsibilities

· Develop and execute a strategic business development plan focused on powertrain components and assemblies

· Leverage existing OEM and Tier 1 relationships to identify near-term and long-term opportunities

· Own the customer relationship from early technical engagement through nomination

· Work closely with engineering to support technical proposals, feasibility discussions, and design collaboration

· Lead customer discussions around new programs, platform expansions, and lifecycle extensions

· Act as a key interface between customers and internal teams (engineering, program management, operations)

· Drive RFQ strategy, pricing alignment, and commercial positioning

· Monitor market trends across ICE, hybrid, and electrified powertrain systems

· Represent the organization at customer meetings, industry events, and technical reviews

· Build long-term, trusted customer partnerships based on credibility and execution

Job Requirements

What We’re Looking For

· Proven business development or technical sales experience within automotive powertrain components

· Established, active customer relationships with OEMs and/or Tier 1 suppliers

· Strong understanding of powertrain systems (e.g., transmission components, engine components, driveline, hybrid/EV interfaces)

· Engineering education (Mechanical, Automotive, or related discipline strongly preferred)

· Ability to engage credibly with engineering, purchasing, and program teams

· Experience selling into highly engineered, safety-critical components

· Track record of securing new programs and growing customer accounts

· Comfortable navigating complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles

· Strategic thinker with a hands-on, execution-oriented mindset

· Willingness to travel as required to support customer engagement
