Job Description

Do you work in sales within the Industrial Automation Industry? Our client has an exciting new opportunity for a Business Development Manager!

Purpose of the role:

Responsible for contributing to the development and execution of the strategic sales plan to grow targeted opportunities and close deals/contracts. This role will initially focus on the mining and automotive industries, leveraging industry expertise and relationships to drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate is a proactive sales leader with a deep understanding of industrial automation solutions, a proven track record in business development, and strong negotiation skills.

Salary range: $120-170K/year

What you will do:

· Contribute to the development and implementation of a sales strategy to grow targeted opportunities in mining and automotive industries and other future target industries.

· Establish and nurture partnerships with key stakeholders, suppliers, and industry influencers to enhance business opportunities.

· Lead negotiations, contract discussions, and final deal execution to drive revenue growth.

· Stay ahead of industry trends, customer needs, and competitive offerings to position organization as a preferred automation partner.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and long-term partnerships.

· Develop sales forecasts, revenue projections, and growth strategies to meet or exceed company targets.

· Work closely with engineering, operations, and executive leadership to align sales efforts with company capabilities and strategic goals.

· Assist in establishing KPI’s and continuously monitor to measure success and drive continuous improvement in sales efforts.

· Participate in projects to improve the sales process.

 

Job Requirements

What you will bring: 

· Experience in industrial automation sales, with a focus on mining and automotive industries.

· Demonstrated success in new customer acquisition and closing the sale.

· High-level technical knowledge of automation solutions, robotics, and manufacturing technologies.

· Established industry network and relationships within mining and automotive sectors.

· Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.

· Ability to develop and implement strategic sales plans that align with corporate objectives.

· Experience in contract negotiation, pricing strategies, and long-term deal structuring.

· Ability to travel as needed to meet with customers and attend industry events.

· Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
