We have an exciting opportunity for a Cost Accountant in Windsor ON!
Scope of the position:
You will be responsible for supporting the daily accounting operations, maintaining the accuracy of financial records, preparing financial reports, and assisting with audits and compliance processes. This role plays a vital role in contributing to the financial health and accuracy of the organization.
Salary range: $70-100K/year

Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare and issue customer invoices accurately and timely.
· Apply payment receipts and reconcile customer accounts
· Monitor and improve invoice submission and collection efficiency.
· Maintain and update the customer database in the accounting system.
Fixed Assets & Amortization
· Manage fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, and depreciation schedules.
· Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Expense Management & Petty Cash
· Process and reconcile employee expense reimbursements.
· Maintain and monitor petty cash transactions.
Month-End Close & Financial Reporting
· Prepare and post month-end journal entries.
· Reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts.
· Support the month-end close process.
· Perform in-depth financial analysis as required.
Job Costing & WIP Management
· Input and maintain job cost data in the accounting system.
· Validate and reconcile monthly Work-in-Progress (WIP) balances.
· Prepare detailed job costing reports and summary analyses.
· Monitor job cost accuracy and report variances.
Financial Analysis & Capital Evaluation
· Conduct payback analysis for capital investments and project financial evaluations.
· Assist in budgeting and forecasting as needed.
Compliance & Process Improvement
· Ensure adherence to accounting policies and internal controls.
· Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
· Assist with audits and other compliance-related tasks.
Additional Duties
· Complete ad-hoc assignments and projects as required by management.

Required Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
· CPA Designation or MBA preferred
· Experience: 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing (mold or related industry is a plus).
· Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP is preferred), advanced Excel skills.
· Language Proficiency: Fluent in both written and verbal English to effectively communicate with team members. Proficiency in Mandarin is a plus due to global team interaction.
