Overview:
Our client is seeking a Director of Purchasing to join their leadership team. This role reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for global sourcing strategy, metal procurement, capital investments, and S&OP alignment across multiple international locations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead global purchasing and sourcing strategy across multiple manufacturing sites
• Oversee metal procurement, tooling, and capital expenditures
• Drive S&OP planning to support operational efficiency and performance (OEE / GPU)
• Lead and manage the global quoting process
• Partner with executive leadership on strategic business decisions
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing purchasing team
• Support commercial strategy and customer-related decisions
• Collaborate across operations in Canada, USA, Mexico, UK, and China
What you will bring:
• 10–15+ years of experience in automotive purchasing or supply chain leadership
• Background in a Tier 1 or mid-sized global manufacturing environment
• Strong experience in global sourcing, metal procurement, and multi-site operations
• Proven leadership experience managing teams and influencing senior stakeholders
• Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capability
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment
• MBA or PMAC designation considered an asset

Compensation range: $175-225K/year
