We have an exciting opportunity in the Windsor-Essex Area for an Equipment Die Maintenance Technician!
Purpose of the position:
Maintenance, design, fabrication, and engineering of tool room items. Supports production and other tool room personnel to meet or exceed quality standards. Perform maintenance and repair on all plant equipment, building and grounds while maintaining high levels of quality and customer service for internal customers.
Wage range: $28-40/hr

Essential Functions
· Repair and condition all machine tooling, including progressive stamping dies and forming tools
· Perform preventative maintenance tasks on all tool room equipment
· Design and fabricate fixtures and machine parts as required for machine repair and improvements
· Operate all tool room equipment and assist other authorized personnel on equipment
· Assist manufacturing team members during set-up and troubleshooting activities
· Work cooperatively with production personnel to maximize uptime on production tooling
· Identify, diagnose and troubleshooting electrical and electronic problems with industrial equipment to the board level
· Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair of all equipment
· Maintain, inventory and recycle all chemicals used in the plant
· Communicates with internal customers
· Responds to production team member queries and requests for help
· Trains production team members on simple PM’s or other repairs
· Maintains and completes appropriate records, including, but not limited to work orders, PM sheets, LOTO forms
· Follows all IATF16949 and ISO14001 required policies and procedures
Requirements
· 5-7 years of experience in an industrial maintenance position
· Prior experience making progressive stamping tooling and forging tooling preferred
· Prior experience in designing and building assembly fixtures and tooling is an asset
· Work experience in all aspects of machining using conventional tool room equipment
· Linear Gage usage
· Experience reading engineering drawings or blueprints
· Experience in hydraulics and pneumatics, fabricating and welding
· Electrical training, up to 600 volt, three phase wiring
· May require lifting up to 50lbs
· Use of cherry pickers or scissor lifts to perform work at varying heights is required
