Job Description

On behalf of our client (leader in the Industry), we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Manufacturing Technician to join their dynamic production team!

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience with automated manufacturing equipment, including robotics and fixed automation equipment, is required.

Pay and/or Salary: From $21-26 per hr

Job Details:

· Operate and tend to automated manufacturing equipment, including robotics and fixed automation equipment.

· Interpret and understand machine readouts and adjust settings to accommodate for material variance, quality requirements, and thresholds.

· Conduct regular quality inspections to ensure a good quality product based on pre-determined standards and requirements.

· Assist with machine changeovers, operating overhead cranes to change machine fixtures, and setting up pre-programmed automation systems.

· Record accurate production data in computerized systems (parts per hour, scrap, downtime, part traceability).

· Independently conduct thorough pre-shift work cell inspections, ensuring the machines are in good working order and all safety or production concerns are reported or handled before machine start-up.

· Conduct regular and end-of-shift housekeeping duties, including sweeping, disposing of trash and scrap, etc.

· Participate in World Class Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives by giving constructive input throughout the process.

· Fulfill all Health and Safety & Environmental responsibilities as identified in the Canadian HSE Management Standards, OHSAS 18001, and ISO 14001 Management Systems.

· Ensure QMS conforms to the requirements identified in IATF 16949 and AMTB Process Map.

· Knowledge or exposure to welding.

· Exposure to ISO14001 and TS16949 standards.

· Other duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements

What you will bring:

· Previous experience in an automated manufacturing environment with robotics is mandatory

· Previous exposure to robotic or automated manufacturing with experience in homing and troubleshooting robotic issues.

· Experience utilizing visual work instructions to independently complete a task.

· General mathematical skill is required

· Grade 12 Diploma or Equivalent required - proof of Education will be requested

· Advanced Language skills - testing will be given

· 1 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment with robotics and automation equipment is required
