Sales / Business Development Manager

Windsor, ON

Posted: 01/20/26

Job Description

Our client is growing, and we’re looking for a driven Sales & Business Development Manager to accelerate our footprint across automotive and manufacturing clients. This role is perfect for a commercially minded hunter who can open new doors, expand existing accounts, and build long-term relationships that drive sustained revenue growth.

You’ll own the full sales cycle: prospecting, quoting, program launches, account management, and strategic planning. Success in this role means capturing new business, strengthening margins, and positioning our client as a preferred partner in the region.

What is in it for you?

  • Competitive salary + performance-based incentives
  • Opportunities for professional growth with a fast-moving, expanding organization
  • Collaborative, supportive leadership team
  • Exposure to leading automotive and manufacturing customers across the region

What you will do:

New Business Acquisition

  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities across automotive Tier 1, Tier 2, and advanced manufacturing customers.
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of prospects — from initial outreach to awarded business.
  • Lead RFQ responses, pricing proposals, and commercial negotiations.

Account Management

  • Grow existing accounts through cross-selling, upselling, and proactive relationship management.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with customers to assess performance, forecast volumes, and identify growth opportunities.
  • Serve as the key point of contact for commercial discussions, issue resolution, and program updates.

Strategic Sales Leadership

  • Monitor industry/market trends (EV, lightweighting, automation, tooling, etc.) to guide sales strategy.
  • Partner with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain to align customer needs with operational capabilities.
  • Assist with quoting strategy, costing reviews, and margin optimization initiatives.

Program Launch Support

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless program launches and customer satisfaction.
  • Track key commercial KPIs (forecasting accuracy, margin health, pipeline strength, win ratios).

Job Requirements

What you will bring:

  • 5+ years in sales, business development, or account management in automotive, manufacturing, tooling, plastics, machining, metal components, or Tier-1/Tier-2 suppliers.
  • Proven ability to win new business and grow accounts in a technical or engineered-product environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (plastics, metals, assembly, machining, stamping, or similar).
  • Experience preparing quotes, reviewing cost models, and leading commercial negotiations.
  • Excellent communication, customer-facing, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with quality, engineering, operations, and supply chain.
  • Valid driver’s license; travel to customer sites as needed.

Key Competencies

  • Hunter mentality with strong closing skills
  • Strategic thinker with commercial discipline
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation abilities
  • Technical aptitude to understand manufacturing processes
  • High accountability and follow-through
  • Professional presence with strong customer rapport
